Non-spayed or non-neutered dog: $50

Responsibilities of Animal Owners

Animal owners shall ensure their animal(s) are not running at large.
Animal owners shall take all reasonable precautions:
To secure the animal so it can’t leave the premises, or

Those with complaints about a dog should notify the Village Office immediately. (Examples: dog at large; constant barking; dog attack.)

Garbage

It is recommended that garbage be stored in an animal-proof container. Residential garbage is picked up every Wednesday around 9AM.

When a stat holiday falls on a Wednesday, garbage is picked up on the Thursday. There is a 5 bag limit per household unless arrangement has been made with the Village Office prior to pick-up. All garbage must be bagged, tied, and weigh under 40lbs. Please double bag kitty litter and other messy items. Properly contain sharp items so they don’t protrude from the bag or box. If not properly bagged, Public Works will not pick up, and it is then the homeowner’s responsibility to take that garbage to the Transfer Site. The garbage truck is available for large clean-up jobs if booked in advance.
Waste Transfer Site

The Site is located 2km west of Standard. Check its website for hours and regulations.
